Ballet 

Ballet dance classes at 3DCA are offered from a beginner to advanced level.  Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations.  Beginner classes introduce vocabulary, proper alignment, and classical ballet technique.  Advanced classes include adagio and allegro work, and combinations using balance, strength, and style.  All students are urged to study ballet, as it is the foundation of all other dance styles and facilitates further success in these disciplines.

Boys Ballet classes emphasize posture, alignment, proper execution, fundamentals, port de bras, strength, and classroom etiquette. Includes attention to foot articulation and usage, and some stretching.  These boys-only classes promote the knowledge and practice of ballet, with an emphasis on proper alignment, coordination and athleticism. While the basic syllabus is the same for beginning male and female students, the contrast between male and female dancing is increasingly emphasized as a student progresses.

Class Dress Requirements:  

Ballet I & II - LIGHT PURPLE/LAVENDER leotard (females)

Ballet III, IV, and V - DARK PURPLE/EGGPLANT leotard (females)

Dancewear and Dance Shoes are available for purchase through 3DCA's online store.  Sizing is available at the studio during office hours.

Performance Requirements:  Students will be required to purchase a costume for our Showcase production.  All students will participate in the Showcase finale as well.  Costume fees are due no later than October 13, 2022.  Costume fee information can be found in the online registration portal.  Additional performance opportunities could be available throughout the season.

Showcase Fee:  3D Centre of the Arts, LLC will present its annual Showcase in May/June 2022.  This showcase will offer all of our 3DCA students the opportunity to perform in a professionally directed production and showcase the results of a year’s hard work, dedication, and progress.

Showcase Fees are required of all 3DCA students and are due no later than November 17, 2022.  The fee for this season is $60.00 per dancer.  The Showcase Fee helps to cover the venue rental, sound, lighting, and security expenses related to the production.  Showcase Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE once paid.
